Meeting of Scientific Advisory
Board.
December 5, 1999 Proneuron's Scientific
Advisory Board held a highly successful meeting to appraise
current progress and discuss future directions. This meeting
provided an opportunity for the company to subject itself to
the critical appraisal of eminent clinicians and scientists.
Results from the company's research projects and development
work were presented, along with a description of the upcoming
clinical trials of macrophage therapy for complete spinal cord
injury. Prof. Charles Tator and Prof. Edward Benzel both gave
presentations about spinal cord injury clinical assessment and
treatment strategies. Prof. Paul Kaufman presented an overview
of glaucoma etiology and treatment. The session also included
some very informative and constructive discussions. The meeting
was an extremely worthwhile event, of great value to
Proneuron's
development and standing as a biotechnology company, and a significant
boost to the company's confidence.
