ProCord - an experimental procedure for spinal cord injuries

General information | Questions & Answers | Patient Interview | Further Details

General information
Procord is an experimental cell therapy that is being developed for the treatment of patients with a recent spinal cord injury. Phase I clinical trials of the experimental procedure were conducted from 2000 to 2003 in Israel and Belgium. Since late 2003, Proneuron is sponsoring a Phase II clinical trial at hospitals in the USA and Israel.

Recruitment to the ProCord clinical trial is currently suspended
We wish to make it clear that the reason for the suspension is not the result of any clinical or safety concerns. Clinical follow-up is being continued on those patients already enrolled in the study
